Marsh, Francis
Marsh, Francis a noted Irish prelate, flourished in the second half of the 17th century. He was made bishop of Limerick in 1667; was transferred to Kilmore and Ardagh in 1673; in 1682 became archbishop of Dublin, and died in 1693. But little is accessible to gather a detailed account of his life and work. Lawrence B.. Phillips (Dict. Biog. Ref.) refers to Cotton, Fasti Ecclesiae Hibernicae (Dubl. 1849, 5 vols. 8vo), and to D'Alton, Lives of the Archbishops of Dublin (Dublin, 1838,8vo).
