Lumper, Gottried
Lumper, Gottried a noted Benedictine, was born in 1747, and entered in his youth the Benedictine cloister of St. George at Villingen, in the Black Forest of Badlen. He remained there in various offices, and as theological teacher, till his death in 1801, and distinguished himself by his works on Church History, the chief of which is Historia theologico-critica de vita, scriptis atque doctrina SS. Patrum, aliorumque scriptorum ecclesiasticorum triun
