Libyan
Lib'yan (only in the plur.), the rendering adopted in the A.V. of two Heb. names, לֻבַּים. (Lubbim', Sept. Λίβυες), Da 11:43 (elsewhere written לוּבַים, "Lubim," 2Ch 12:3; 2Ch 16:8; Na 3:9; prob. i.q. להָבים "Lebabim." Ge 10:13; 1Ch 1:11) and פּוּט (Put, Jer 46:9; Sept. Λίβυες; elsewhere rendered "Libya," Eze 30:5; Eze 38:5; "Phut," or "Put"). SEE LIBYA.
