Lee, Alfred, D.D., LL.D.
a bishop of the Protestant Episcopal Church, was born at Cambridge, Massachusetts, September 9, 1807. Graduating from Harvard College in 1827, he studied law and was admitted to the bar, but in 1837 graduated from the Gelieral Theological Seminary, entered the ministry, and in 1841 was ordained bishop of Delaware. In 1884 he became presiding bishop of the Protestant Episcopal Church. He died April 12, 1887.
