Lanini (or Lanino), Bernardino
Lanini (or Lanino), Bernardino an eminent Italian painter, was born at Vercelli about 1522, and studied under Gaudenzio Ferrari. He was much employed at Milan and Novara, where he painted the personification of The Deity in the dome of the cathedral. also several subjects from the life of the Virgin, and the picture of Our Saviour after the Flagellation, between two Angels, in San Ambrogio, at Novara.
