Langbein, Bernhard Adolph

Langbein, Bernhard Adolph a Lutheran theologian, was born in 1815 at Wurzen, Saxony. In 1841 he was deacon at Meissen, in 1853 church counsellor at Dresden, in 1866 first court-preacher there, and died July 17, 1873, doctor of theology. Langbein was-one of the most prominent preachers of Germany, and the author of many volumes of sermons and ascetical works.
