Kerkassandi

Kerkassandi, in Hindu mythology, is the name of the first Buddha who appeared (when men were yet attaining to the desirable age of 40,000 years) to take upon himself the sins of the world, to redeem them, and to secure them the continued enjoyment of the high age mentioned.-Vollmer, Mythol.
