Kendall, John

Kendall, John a prominent Quaker, was born in Colchester. England, in 1726; entered the ministry when 21 years old, and in 1750 accompanied Daniel Stanton on a religious visit through the northern parts of England. He was active in the work for over sixty years, and encouraged many "to the exercise both of civil and religious duties." He died Jan. 27, 1815.-Janney, Hist. of the Friends, 4:44 sq.
