Karigites

Karigites, or SEPARATISTS, is the name of a Mohammedan sect who oppose all government, both ecclesiastical and spiritual. They hold that the person who is to preside in spiritual affairs should be a man of supernatural birth and altogether of a spiritual character. SEE MOHAMMEDANS; comp. SEE KARMATHIANS.
