Kapp, Johann Georg
Kapp, Johann Georg a Lutheran theologian of Germany, was born November 8, 1737. He studied at Jena, Leipsic, and Erlangen. In 1761 he was preacher, and in 1781 subdeacon at Bayreuth, and died October 11, 1814. He published, Confusio Romanensium circa Potestatem Papae (Erlaigen, 1758): — De Meritis Philippi Melanchthonis (1794). See Doring, Die gelehrten Theologen Deutschlands, s.v. (B.P.)
