Joidanus
Joida'nus (Ι᾿ωαδάνος,Vulg. Joadeus), one of the priests, "sons of Jesus, the son of Josedec, and his brethren," who had married foreign wives after the exile (1 Esdr. 9:19); apparently the same as GEDALIAH in the corresponding Hebrew text (Ezr 10:18) by a corruption (see Burrington, Genealogies, 1, 167).
