Huln

Huln (UILLAUME, a Roman cardinal, born at Étain. in the diocese of Verdun, in the latter half of the 14th century. He was at one time archdeacon of Verdun and later of Metz. He was an attendant at the Council of Basle in 1440, and was one of the supporters of the antipope (Amadeus of Savoy) Felix V, who gave him the cardinal's hat. Nicholas V confirmed the cardinal after the schism Dec. 19, 1449. He died at Rome Oct. 28,1455. — Migne, Dict. Theol. 31, 1092.
