Houdry, Vincent
Houdry, Vincent A French Jesuit preacher and religious writer, was born at Tours January 22, 1631. He entered the order in 1644, preached some thirty years, and then devoted his time to writing only. He died March 29, 1729. His principal works are Sermons sur tons les sujets de la. Morale Chretienne (Paris. 1696, etc., 20 vols. 12mo) — Traite de la maniere d'imlifer les bons predicatemurs (Par. 1702, 12mo); and most especially Bibliotheque des Predicateurs: contemat les principals sujets de la morale Chret.
