Homaeousian
Homaeousian A term used to describe the orthodox view of the person of Christ, established at the Council of Nice in opposition to Arius, viz., that the Son of God is "of the same substance (or essence) with the Father," (ὁμοούσιος τῷ Πατρί). SEE ARIANISI; SEE CHRIST, PERSON OF; SEE TRINITY.
