Hodijah
Hodi'jah (Heb. Hodiyah', הוֹדַיָּה , majesty of Jehovah; Sept. ᾿Ωδουία, ᾿Ωδουίας, ᾿Ωδούα, ᾿Ωδουϊvα), the name of at least two men.
1. One of the Levites who assisted Ezra in expounding the law to the people (Ne 8:7; Ne 9:5),.and subscribed Nehemiah's covenant (10:18; his name is apparently repeated in ver. 13). B.C. cir. 410.
2. One of the chief Israelites who subscribed the covenant with Nehemiah (Ne 10:18). B.C. cir. 410.
