Heylyn, John, D.D.
an eminent English divine and prebendary of Westminster. He was deeply read in the Mystic divines, and was himself called "the Mystic doctor." He died about 1760, leaving Theological Lectures at Westminster Abbey (Lond. 1749-61. 2 vols. 4to), containing an "interpretation of the New Testament" — Sermons (1770, 12mo): — Discourses (1793,2 vols. 8vo).
