Heleph (2)
Heleph Of Beit-Lif, which is now generally accepted as the modern representative of this place, the following is the description in the Memoirs (1:201.) accompanying the Ordnance Survey: "A village built of stone, containing about one hundred and fifty Moslems (Guerin says eighty Metawileh), situated on a hill-top, with a few olives and arable land. Two cisterns and a birket (pool) near by supply the water."
