Hebdome

Hebdome (ἐβδόμη, the seventh day of the month), a festival observed by the ancient Greeks in honor of Apollo, on the seventh day of every month, because one of them was the birthday of that god. The chief place of these observances was Athens. Hymns were sung to Apollo, and the people walked in procession, carrying sprigs of laurel in their hands.
