Hareeus, Franz

Hareeus, Franz a learned Dutch Catholic divine, was born at Utrecht in 1550, and educated in the academy there, after which he. travelled through Germany, Italy, and. Russia. He was made canon of Bois-le-Duc, then of Namur and Louvain. He died at the latter place, January 12, 1632. His principal works are, Biblia Sacra Expositionibus Priscorum Patrum Litteralibus et Mysticis Illusirata (1630): — Catena Aurea in IV Evangelia (1625): — Vitae Sanctorum.
