Hall, Charles, D.D.
a Presbyterian divine, was born at Williamsport, Pennsylvania, June 23, 1799. He graduated from Hamilton College in 1824; studied two years in Princeton Theological Seminary; was ordained evangelist. March 25,1832; became secretary of the American Home: Missionary Society in 1827; and so continued until his death at Newark, N.J., October 31, 1853. See Genesis Cat. of Princeton Theol.
