Hairetites

Hairetites a skeptical Mohammedan sect, who profess to doubt everything, and to hold their minds in constant equipoise, maintaining that it is impossible to distinguish truth from falsehood. Their usual reply in discussion is, "God knows, we do not." They are, however, scrupulous in their observance of Mohammedan laws and ceremonies, both civil and religious.
