Grey, Richard, Dd
Grey, Richard, D.D., an English divine, Was born at Newcastle, 1694, and was educated at Lincoln College, Oxford. In 1721 he became rector of Hinton; afterwards rector of Kincote and prebendary of St. Paul's. He died in 1771. He published A System of English Ecclesiastical Law (Lond. 1743, 8vo), for which the University of Oxford gave him the degree of D.D.. — Memoria Technica, a new Method of Artificial Memory (Lond. 1730, and often reprinted; last ed. Lond. 1851, 12mo) : — New Method of learning Hebrew without the Points (London, 1738, 8vo): — Liber Jobi, in Versiculos divisus (1742, 8vo).
