Grashof, Julius Werner, D.D.
a Protestant theologian of Germany, was born October 4, 1802, at Prenzlaw, in. Brandenburg, studied at Bonn theology and philology, was in 1826 preacher at Treves, in 1830 at Cologne, and in 1836 was appointed by the government as counsellor in the affairs pertaining to the Church and School of the Rhenish provinces. Grashof died June 25, 1873. He published, Die Briefe der heiligen Apostel Jacobus, Petrus, Johannes und Judas (Essen, 1830): — Die Evangelien des Matthaus, Marcus und Lucas (ibid. 1834): —Luther's Bibel-Uebersetzung (Crefeld, 1835).
