Gowan, Anthony T., D.D.

a Scotch Independent minister, was born in 1811 at Whitehaven, Cumberland. He was educated at the Glasgow University, became pastor at Blackhills, near Aberdeen, afterwards at Dalkeith, and finally colleague of Dr. Alexander in the Theological Hall at Edinburgh.
