Goodman Of The House,

οἰκοδεσπότης, Mt 20:11; Mt 24:43; Mr 14:14; Lu 22:11, master of the house, as usually elsewhere rendered (Mt 10:25; Lu 13:25; Lu 14:21; "householder," Mt 13:27,52; Mt 20:1; Mt 21:33). In Pr 7:19, "goodman" is the rendering of אַישׁ, ish, man, i.e., husband.
