Goldsborough, Godfrey, D.D.
an Anglican bishop of the 16th century, was born in Cambridge, bred in Trinity College (pupil of archbishop Whitgift), became afterwards fellow thereof, prebend of Hereford in 1585, archdeacon of Salop in 1589, was consecrated bishop of Gloucester in 1598, and died March 26, 1604.
