Goerce, Hugh William
Goerce, Hugh William was a Dutch theologian and physician. After receiving the degree of doctor of medicine, he practiced at Middelburg, where he acquired a great reputation. He understood very well the dialects of north Europe, and the classical languages, and occupied his leisure with archaeology and, translating several ancient authors.
