Gobel, Karl
Gobel, Karl a Protestant theologian of Germany, was born February 18, 1808, at Solingen. He studied at Erlangen and Berlin, and was in 1837 appointed pastor at Altwied, near Neuwied-on-the-Rhine. In 1845 he was appointed successor to professor Krafft, at Erlangen, and in 1857 he was called to Posen as pastor of St. Peter's, and member of consistory. He died there April 24, 1881, a doctor of theology and member of the upper consistory.
