Galloche, Louis

Galloche, Louis a reputable French historical painter, was born at Paris in 1670, and studied under Louis Boullonge. He was a member of the Royal Academy. Among his works are the Departure of St, Paul from Miletus, in the Church of Notre Dame; The Good Samaritan, and The Resurrection. He died in 1761. See Hoefer, Nouv. Biog.
