Furstenthal, Jacob Rafael
Furstenthal, Jacob Rafael a Hebrew scholar, was born in 1781, and died at Breslau, December 16, 1855. He published, Selichoth, or the penitential prayers, with a German translation and Hebrew commentary (Breslau, 1823-24, 2 volumes): — he also translated into German Pakuda's (q.v.) חובת הלבבות, or, Duties of the Heart (ibid. 1835): — Maimonides' More Nebuchim (only the first part, Krotoschin, 1839): — Aboab's Menorath hamor (ibid. 1843).
