Furlong

Furlong (στάδιος or στάδιον, a stadiun), a Greek measure of distance, equal to 606 feet 9 inches (Lu 24:13; Joh 6:19; Joh 11:18; [1Co 9:24, "race," i.e., a course or lists for running]; Re 14:20; Re 20:15). See Smith's Dict. of Class. Antiq. s.v. Stadium. SEE MEASURE; SEE STADE.
