Flavianus (2)
Flavianus the second of that name, bishop of Antioch, A.D. 498-512, was weak and vacillating in moral character, originally a monk at Tilmognon, in CoeleSyria, later nuncio of the Church of Antioch at the imperial court in Constantinople, and was deposed in consequence of the Monophysite troubles at Alexandria, ending his life in banishment, A.D. 518.
