Flaminica

Flaminica the wife of the Flamen Dialis, SEE FLAMEN, or priest of Jupiter, among the ancient Romans. She was put under the same restrictions as her husband, and if she died he was compelled to resign his office. She sacrificed a ram to Jupiter on each of the Nundinae (q.v.).
