Entablature
Entablature (Lat. In, tabula), "the superstructure which lies horizontally upon the columns in classic architecture: it is divided into architrave, the part immediately above the column; frieze, the central sp,; and cornice, the upper projecting mouldings. Each of the orders has its appropriate entablature, of which, both the general height and the subdivisions are regulated by a scale of proportions derived from the diameter of the column."
