Edwards, Timothy

Edwards, Timothy a Congregational minister, was born May 14, 1669, at Hartford, Conn. He graduated at Harvard College July 4, 1691, and was ordained May, 1694, as pastor in East Windsor, which relation he sustained until his death, January 27, 1758. Mr. Edwards was father of the distinguished Jonathan Edwards. He published but one sermon (Election Sermon, 1732). — Sprague, Annals, 1:230.
