Duncan, Andrew, D.D.

a Scotch clergyman, son of Patrick, minister at Tibbermore; was licensed to preach in July 1778; presented to the living at Auchterarder, and ordained September 6, 1781; elected Presbytery clerk in November, 1784, which office he held to January 3, 1792; transferred to Ratho February 1, 1803; elected principal clerk to the General Assembly May 21, 1807; elected moderator to the General Assembly in May 1824, and died July 29, 1827, aged seventy-one years.
