Dormans, Jean De

Dormans, Jean De cardinal-chancellor and gumardian of the seals under the kings John II and Charles V, was born at Dormans (Champagne). He founded at Paris, May 16, 1370, the college called De Beauvais, from the name of his diocese, and died in that city, November 7, 1373. See Hoefer, Nouv. Biog. Generale, s.v.
