Dommerich, Johann Christoph
Dommerich, Johann Christoph a Lutheran theologian of Germany, was born December 25, 1723, at Buckeburg. He studied at Halle; for some time acted as tutor in the orphanage there; in 747 was appointed morning preacher at his native place, but in the following year accepted a call to Helmstadt; in 1749 became rector at Wolfebuttel, and in 1759 professor of metaphysics at Helmstadt, where he died, May 28, 1767.
