Dominioi, Giovanni an Italian prelate and theologian, was born at Florence about 1356, entered the Dominican order, and became a famous teacher of theology and canon law; also distinguished himself as a preacher; went on an embassy to Rome inn 1406; was made. bishop of Ragusa in 1407, and cardinal in 1408 (which preferments led to a violent controversy), and died at Buda in 1419, leaving several minor productions, for which see Hoefer, Nouv.
