Divole (or Divoley), Pierre a French theologian, was born at Auxerre at the beginning of the 16th century; became doctor in theology at Paris; entered the order of the preaching brothers, among whom he achieved great distinction; and died in 1568, leaving, for posthumous publication, Instructions et Sermons pour tous les Jours de Careme, etc. (Paris, 1576): — Deux Sermons de la Sainte Messe et Ceremonies d'Icelle (ibid. 1581).
