Ditch

Ditch (גֵּב, geb, a pit [as rendered in Jer 10:25] or trench for cistern- water, 2Ki 3:16; מִקוָה, mikvah', a collection or pool of water, Isa 22:11; שִׁוּחָה shuchah', Pr 23:27, or שִׁחִתshachaath, Job 9:31, a pit, as elsewhere rendered, or hole in the ground, either for holding surplus water or for catching animals; like the Greek βόθυνος, Mt 15:14; Lu 6:39).
