Daronatsi, Paul

Daronatsi, Paul an Armenian abbot, was born in 1043, in the province of Daron. He was noted for his profound knowledge of philosophy and theology. He died in 1123, leaving a letter, which he wrote (1101) in favor of the Monophysites against Theophistes (printed at Constantinople in 1752; Galanus has inserted from it about twenty passages in his Conciliatio): — also a Treatise against the Greek Church: — A Commentary on Daniel.
