Dalton, John, D.D.
an English clergyman, was born in 1709 at Dean, Cumberland, and was educated at Lowther, Westmoreland, and at Queen's College, Oxford, where he was preacher for some years. In 1750 he was presented to the rectory of St. Mary, at Hill.
