Crownse, Adam

Crownse, Adam a Lutheran minister, was born at Sharon, N.Y., in 1798. He studied the classics and theology at Hartwick Seminary, graduating in 1823; the same year was licensed by the New York Ministerium, and began to preach in Sharon and Rhinebeck (then Guilderland), where he remained over twenty years. He was thereafter pastor at Middleburg, and subsequently returned to Guilderland. He died in May 1865. See Lutheran Observer, August 25, 1865.
