Croft, Joel

Croft, Joel a Methodist Episcopal minister, was born at Phillipstown, Putnam Co., N.Y., February 11, 1820. He was converted at the age of sixteen; soon after entered the academy at Peekskill; also began a private theological course; received license to preach in 1842, and in 1845 joined the New York Conference, of which he remained a worthy and acceptable member until his decease, March 27, 1879.
