Cox, James

Cox, James a Wesleyan Methodist missionary, was a native of Bermuda. In 1823 he received his first appointment to his native islands, and in the following near was sent to the West Indies, where he was stationed at St. Kitt's, Antigua, Dominica, Tortola, and Jamaica. Having a strong constitution, he undertook labors to which few men would have been equal. He died at Morant Bay, Jamaica, May 30, 1859. See Minutes of the British Conference, 1859.
