Cotignola, Francesco Da
Cotignola, Francesco Da (called Marchesi or Zanganelli), an Italian painter, who resided chiefly at Parma, flourished about 1518, and studied under Rondinello. He painted a number of historical works for the churches, the best of which are The Raising of Lazarus, at Parma, and The Baptism of Christ, at Faenza. See Hoefer, Nouv. Biog.
