Cort, Corenelius

Cort, Corenelius (in Italy, Cornelio Flamingo), anl eminent Dutch engraver, was born at Hoorn in 1533 or 1536, and was probably instructed by Jerome Cock. He afterwards established a famous school at Rome, where he died in 1578.
