Coping (טֶפִח, to'phach, a hand-breadth; Sept. τὰγεῖδα), occurs in 1Ki 7:9, as an architectural term for the corbils (mutuli) or projecting stones in a wall on which the ends of the timbers are laid. SEE CORBEL.
