Cooper, Robert (2), D.D.

a Presbyterian minister, was born in the north of Ireland about 1732. He removed to America with his mother in 1741; graduated at New Jersey College in 1763; studied theology privately, and was licensed by the Presbytery of Carlisle, February 22, 1765. In the same year he received a call from the Presbyterian Church at Middle Spring, Cumberland County, Pensylvania, where he labored with great zeal and effect for thirty-one years.
